We will hold our next 2015 Bi-Monthly Potomac 356 Owners Group Gathering on Sunday, June 7th at 10:00 AM. The location for this get-together will be Bassett’s Restaurant in Poolesville, Maryland. We have held the annual “Drive Your 356 Day” POG brunch at this restaurant for many years.

Bassett’s Restaurant is located at 19950 Fisher Avenue, Poolesville, MD 20837 (301-972-7443). On their website, www.bassettsrestaurant.net you can see their brunch menu which features a good variety of offerings at reasonable prices. There is ample parking right behind the restaurant off Elgin Road.

All roads leading to Poolesville are two-lane country roads well suited for 356 driving, (but watch out for the speed cameras in the vicinity of Poolesville). Poolesville is east of Leesburg, VA, and most directly accessed from there by White’s Ferry. Poolesville is west of Rockville, south of Frederick, and northwest of Washington, DC.

Please let Jim Hobbins know if you can come by Friday, June 5, so he can confirm our expected attendance with the restaurant. RSVP by email (jmhobbins@gmail.com).

After breakfast, for those who may be interested, we will go on a short driving tour to Lily Pons Water Gardens in Lily Pons (Adamstown), Maryland. We’re not driving there to see the renowned water gardens, although you are welcome to do so. Rather, on this day, we’ll be checking out the 38th Annual British Car Day (car show) that will be held on the expansive Lily Pons grounds. Of course we are not expecting to participate in the car show. But this show has a reputation of having a remarkable number of classic British cars that are enjoyable to see.
