The Vintage Racer Group (VRG) club and Summit Point Motorsports Park will hold the “Jefferson 500” at Summit Point on May 12 - May 15, 2016. This multi day racing event, sanctioned by the VRG, has been one of the Northeast’s largest vintage races.

During the Jefferson 500 event, on Saturday, May 14, the Country Roads Car Club will be holding a car show on the grounds of Summit Point. The $15.00 car show registration fee provides both entry into Summit Point and the car show. Also car show participants will be eligible to sign-up for a two (2) lap driving sessions on the track at 12 noon for an additional fee of $10 which will be donated to the High Performance Team (Wounded Veterans Racing Team).

The car show times are listed for 10:00am – 4:00pm. But the car show organizers recommend that entrants arrive between 8:30am-9:00am to get parked on the show field and signed-up for the parade lap.

For those POG members interested in going to the Jefferson 500 and entering the car show as a group, POG member Bruce Bade has offered to lead the group on the drive to Summit Point. Contact Bruce (bruce.bade@cox.net) if you would like to be part of that group. Based upon those responses, Bruce will arrange for a meeting location in Northern Virginia for everyone to gather before driving to the Jefferson 500 and car show.
