Annual POG “Brats & Parts” Picnic

at Bjorn & Barbara Stalesen’s

Sunday, October 11, 2020 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Even the pandemic won’t stop the tradition! The Potomac 356 Owners Group annual picnic will be held at Bjorn & Barbara Stalesen’s farm. It will be held on Sunday, October 11th, 2020, starting at 12:00 noon.

Obviously, there are changes to the usual format based upon the restrictions and guidelines in place by governing authorities. Among these is the encouragement in the use of face coverings and the practice of social distancing.

So plan to join your 356 friends to enjoy a socially distanced picnic. There’s plenty of room to spread out on the farm. Load up your 356 with your face masks, chairs, blankets, or anything to make your picnic day fun! Wander around the farm, look at the goats, and enjoy the view. Bjorn will probably get a good bonfire going also. Feel free to bring along some 356 parts to swap too.

POG will provide sausages & hot dogs, potato salad, Barbara’s fritters, soft drinks, water and beer. But if you are concerned about reaching into a common cooler for a beverage or accepting a food item cooked on the grill, that’s OK. Bring anything that you might want to eat or drink. Also, we will not be doing any pot-luck sharing of food stuffs (e.g. appetizers, sides, desserts) this year.

And note that POG will not be providing wine or distilled spirits – you’ll have to bring those, if that’s your choice of beverages. Also, to help Bjorn and Barbara, we may need some folks to help cooking the sausages on the grill. So bring your grilling apron.

Please let Bjorn or Barbara know if you plan to attend so that we can make sure that we have enough of the food & beverages that POG will provide. Their email address is: stalesenbjorn@comcast.net.

The Stalesen's farm is just east of Frederick, Maryland and it is easily accessible from major highways. The address is: 5522 Camelot Ct, Frederick, MD 21704-6830. After you enter their driveway, turn right and stay driving to the right between the barn/garage and the trees to park on the field below the building, facing the mountain view.
